Μια τομή στην ανθρωπογεωγραφία του Βρυσακίου, στην
οικονομία και στην αγορά, με την άφιξη πολλών προσφύγων μετά το 1922. Όλες οι
γενεές, τα μεροκάματα, η εργασία, σε συμβολική ανάπτυξη με φόντο την Ακρόπολη.
Στην πλατεία του Θησείου φτάνουν οι πρώτοι πρόσφυγες. Στο βάθος διακρίνεται η
είσοδος της Συνοικίας του Βρυσακίου από την δυτική πλευρά και το αρτοποιείο «Η
Χρυσή Καρδιά» στην συμβολή των οδών Αστεροσκοπείου και Απολλοδώρου.
A watershed in the human geography of Vryssaki, the economy and the market was signalled by the arrival of thousands of refugees after the 1922 Asia Minor Disaster. Here you could see people of all ages, of all walks of life, pursuing their livelihoods under the shadow of the Acropolis. The first refugees settled in the square of Thission. In the background we can see the entrance to the Vryssaki quarter on the west side of The Golden Heart bakery, at the junction of Asteroskopeiou and Apollodorou Streets.
